Alongside her research, she has been actively involved in the UK space sector through the charity UK Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (UKSEDS), where she has held leadership roles including Vice Team Lead for the National Rocketry Championship, Executive at-Large of the organisation and Vice Team Lead of the Diversity & Advocacy team. Her recent work has explored barriers to entry into the UK space sector for students and recent graduates, with a focus on accessibility, representation and how future talent can be better supported within frontier industries. This research will be presented at the International Astronautical Congress 2026.

Lamyea's interest in In-Orbit Servicing, Assembly and Manufacturing (ISAM) comes from both technical and human-centred perspectives. Her work has included the development of AR and VR concepts for aerospace and space operations, including robotic teleoperation systems and immersive head-up interfaces for future in-space activity.
