Lamyea Ahmed

PhD Researcher in Aerospace Human Factors at University of Birmingham

Lamyea is a PhD researcher at the University of Birmingham whose work focuses on human experience and human factors within next generation aerospace systems. With a background in aerospace engineering spanning aviation and space, her interests centre around how emerging technologies can be designed to advance capability and to better support the people interacting with them. Alongside her research, she has been actively involved in the UK space sector through the charity UK Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (UKSEDS), where she has held leadership roles including Vice Team Lead for the National Rocketry Championship, Executive at-Large of the organisation and Vice Team Lead of the Diversity & Advocacy team.
